    The National Association of Savings and Credit Unions (NASCU) is the apex body representing Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) in Zambia. NASCU promotes a strong, sustainable, and inclusive cooperative financial sector through advocacy, capacity building, shared services, and sector coordination.

  • What is NASCU’s role in the SACCO sector?

    NASCU provides leadership, representation, and technical support to SACCOs. Its role includes advocacy, governance strengthening, regulatory engagement, capacity building, research, and promotion of cooperative values.

  • Who owns NASCU?

    NASCU is wholly owned by its member SACCOs. Member SACCOs serve as shareholders, key stakeholders, and contributors to the Association’s governance.

  • Can a SACCO request customised training?

    Yes. SACCOs can request tailored training or technical assistance based on their specific needs.
